FACEBOOK LEADS THE CHARGE TO BUILD MORE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN SILICON VALLEY
Several weeks ago, newly inaugurated California Gov. Gavin Newsom called upon deep-pocketed Silicon Valley tech companies to contribute money to help address the region’s housing shortage, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has already answered.
The Facebook-led fund has already raised $260 million, with the goal of building 8,000 homes in five Bay Area counties over the next decade.
